We would like to introduce our newly create FSIS trail! Located Northeast of the FSIS campus, it is a 5K long trail with beautiful scenery and a peaceful atmosphere. There are plenty of areas to sit and rest or even explore one of the few side trails along the path. Our trail goes into a full circle, passing through our pontoon bridge, past a few steps, and through a creek. The trail is marked clearly with orange markers so visitors can always find the correct path. KCA actively maintains this trail to ensure the trail remains clear and clean.

This pontoon had been sitting on the FSIS campus for at least 25 years. We decided to clean it up and move it all the way through the path to use it as a bridge to cross one part of the creek. After thorough cleaning, it is now painted black with our 'KCA' logo printed on it.

Along the trail is a creek that runs through the wilderness. Depending on the weather and season, the creek will be full and other times it will be dry. There are rocks along the side of the creek so we ask visitors to watch their step and be careful if they near the creek.

KCA will be releasing more information regarding a membership plan for individuals who wish to use the trail, have picnics, use the basketball courts, and so much more!
More info coming 2026!

Expect to see wildlife along our trail. Birds chirping, winds rustling, and deer prancing away, plus much more. We have a vast amount of deer and wildlife that will help to bring the trail to life. There have been instances of snakes, so be cautious on your walk and stick to our trail. We do ask our visitors to be respectful towards these animals in their natural habitat.

We encourage visitors to fully enjoy their time along the trail. If you would love to bring along some food and have a picnic, please do so. Just be sure to clean up after yourselves and leave no trash behind so we can be sure to take care of our Earth by not littering.
