Fort Sill Indian School Events

KCA Intertribal Land Use Committee makes great efforts in maintaining the FSIS campus. We hold many events on FSIS to help revitalize the land and create long-lasting happy memories of the area. We partner with various organizations to host events open to the public. We would love to see you at our next event!

FSIS Reunion

Indigenous Peoples' Day Powwow

Fall Festival

We are proud partners of the FSIS Reunion every year. KCA makes sure to prep and maintain the school to ensure it is safe and preserved for our FSIS alumni who visit. We also help to create an agenda of events for the reunion.

Fall Festival

Indigenous Peoples' Day Powwow

Fall Festival

KCA held their first Fall Fest in 2025. It is free and open to our community. We had a photo booth, petting zoo, hayride, hay maze, face painting, games and activities, fed supper and finished the night with a bonfire and spooky stories.

Indigenous Peoples' Day Powwow

Indigenous Peoples' Day Powwow

Indigenous Peoples' Day Powwow

Every year, FSIS hosts the Indigenous Peoples' Day Annual Powwow. KCA is proud to have this celebration of our people on FSIS where our people were forbidden to speak our languages or dance and sing. We feel it is healing to host this powwow on FSIS campus.

Campfire Stories

CACS Bubble/Color Run

Indigenous Peoples' Day Powwow

Most of our events end the day with a campfire, storytelling, or camping. For example, for our 2025 KCA Field Day, we ended the night with camping in tipis and for our 2025 Fall Fest, we held a bonfire for our community. We strive to unite our community.

CACS Bubble/Color Run

KCA works with Comanche Academy Charter School's Parent Teacher Association. One of the major events that CACS PTA's runs is the Bubble/Color Run held at FSIS. This event is free and open to our community; however, shirts are available to purchase via PTA.

Earth Day

CACS Bubble/Color Run

CACS Bubble/Color Run

Earth Day is celebrated on FSIS with our Kiowa, Comanche, and Apache community and leaders. We have many community members and entities come out to celebrate with us. We pray, sing, and cultivate the land by planting seeds in the FSIS garden.

...plus so much more!
