The native stone arch at the entrance to the school and hospital area was constructed in 1933 by W.P.A. workers. In 1958, it wrecked by a massive delivery truck too high for clearance. The driver was killed instantly. Thus another Fort Sill Indian School landmark disappeared.

The Arch had been missing since it was destroyed in 1958. However, KCA located the remnants in a creek just East of the FSIS campus, along the FSIS trail. The stone remains were attentively collected so that KCA could begin to restore the arch.
The Arch was recovered from the creek and carefully moved to be worked on. Due to being cracked and faded, KCA worked hard to bring the arch back to being presentable. A FSIS alumni painted the black into the letters, just as it was in the past.

With the Arch restored, it now is proudly displayed at the entrance to Fort Still Indian School, right next to Lawton Indian Hospital.
